CAD-CAM Dentistry
CAD-CAM is a technology that is changing the way of dentistry is done. It basically allows the dentist to scan your tooth/teeth to capture a video image of it, then design and fabricate a filling, crown, or veneer depending on what is needed. Then a restoration is desinged chairside and then manufactured while the patient in the office. This elimates messy impressions, temporay restorations, and return visits. For the patient, it greatly reduces time, the number of visits, and gives them a great restoration!
