Halitosis??

Halitosis.....bad breath??? Get rid of bad breath and know the common causes......

If you suffer from chronic halitosis also known as bad breath, it's important to identify the cause so you can treat effectively.

Halitosis has many causes: tobacco use, what you eat , dry mouth, and infections.

If you smoke, quit. Ask your doctor or dentist for support and advice about how to quit this habit that affects the health of your entire body. Garlic and strong spices can cause bad breath temporarily and some odors remain until the body processes the food. If your mouth is dry be sure to brush and floss after meals. Drinking water also helps lubricate the mouth and wash out food particles. An infection in the mouth or body can be the cause of halitosis. Check with your dentist about periodontal disease or a tooth that may have decay. Bad breath can be a sign of a range of conditions including respiratory tract infections, chronic sinusitis, diabetes, or liver and kidney problems. It's important to not ignore the problem.
